Independent travel planning

Somewhere you’ve been putting off. Planned properly this time.

Shanair Johnson has spent fifteen years planning travel — caldera rooms in Santorini, Cape Town in the right season, all-inclusives that actually earn the rate. Tell her where you’re drawn to and she handles the research, the routing and the reservations.

Why use a travel advisor

Less research. A better trip.

You can absolutely book a vacation yourself. The question is whether you want to spend three weekends comparing resorts you have never seen, and still not know which one is next to a construction site.

  • She has actually been there

Fifteen years of planning, plus first-hand time in the destinations she recommends most. You get an opinion, not a search results page.

  • One plan, not twelve tabs

Hotels, transfers, tours and airfare arrive as a single itinerary that already makes sense in the right order.

  • The timing done right

When to go, how long to stay in each place, and which connections leave enough room to be realistic.

  • Covered when plans move

Travel protection is offered on every trip, so a cancellation or a medical issue doesn't become a total loss.

  • One person who knows your trip

Not a call centre. The same advisor who planned it is the one you contact about it.

How it works

Three steps, and only one of them is yours.

No drawn-out email threads and no 60-tab comparison spiral. Here is exactly what happens from first contact to boarding.

  1. 01

Tell her where you're drawn to

Send the form or book a call. Shanair reaches out personally to walk you through how she works, answer your questions, and get a feel for the kind of trip you're after — including if you're still undecided on the destination.

  2. 02

    She builds the trip

You get a full itinerary: hotels, transfers, tours, and airfare if you want it booked too. A $50 planning fee starts the work and is credited toward your trip, so it comes off what you pay, not on top of it.

  3. 03

    You approve it and go

Once the plan is right, Shanair books it. You pay by credit or debit card, and depending on the supplier there may be payment plan options. Travel protection is offered so you're covered if something shifts.

Owner & Travel Advisor

I spent fifteen years planning travel under a host agency before starting Jet Set Adventures. I wanted to run things my own way — and to stand behind every trip with my own name on it.

A good vacation is not just a nice hotel. I want you to come home having actually understood where you were: what people eat there, how they spend a Sunday, why the place is the way it is. I plan around that.

Greece and Cape Town are the two I recommend most. I have been to both, and in each the people were so genuinely welcoming that it changed how I talk about the destination.
